New art

Didn't know if this page was still working but apparently it is so here we go I have been doing some art the last couple of weeks after watching Jason Morgan wildlife artist who mainly works in oils but I saw him drawing and decided to have a go.

Well decided at last to come back onto my page although I haven't been doing art my new love is baking which I enjoy doing for family members in cakes of different types and I enjoy making my own bread.

These are a couple of my first attempts the top one is hand painted and the bottom one has a mix of flowers with the white ones are done in buttercream on a bamboo skewer 

This is a book i have recently perchased to try and do portraits and as usual with Lee hammond she makes the subject very easy to follow

Hi everyone dont know if i am doing this right but thought i would start a blog and join the computer world.
I go to a self help art group on wednesday mornings and there is a good range of mediums and styles so if you need help there is generally some one who can give an answer to the problem,I generally do drawing there as it means carrying less equipment and do most of my pastel work at home which means i can spend a couple of hours concentrating on pencil work that helps with drawing out scenes ready for painting.
At the moment i am trying to do more landscapes rather than animals ready for an exhibition i have in June in a local library as the last one i did in october was mostly animals and surprise to me i sold two paintings for the first time wow what a good feeling that is and low and behold none of them was an animal one flowers and one landscape so this time i will do more landscapes and i bet they will want animals haha.
