This is a book i have recently perchased to try and do portraits and as usual with Lee hammond she makes the subject very easy to follow

Graham's Art: I am retired on health grounds and started doing watercolour painting for something to use up my time,then a couple of years ago i tried pastel pencils for doing animals and found this to be very satisfying.I now use soft and hard pastels for both animals and landscapes.I then decided that i could do with more drawing skills and started to use pencils more and more for doing finished works so my time is now split between pencils and pastels.I also go to a self help painting group on a Wednesday morning and within the group is a wide variety of mediums and styles so there is someone who can help with most problems.
